CUTTING FOR A CAUSE

May 4th, 2008, Cut-A-Thon a Great Success

On behalf of the Creative Hair Design staff, and myself, I would like to thank everyone for coming out to our first annual Creative Hair Design Cut-A-Thon! We greatly appreciate your participation in our activities, and most of all the donations of your locks of hair to the Locks of Love cause.

We started the morning with 42 people signed up to donate their hair. With the support of Channel 6 News and our local radio station, Channel 94.1, we were able to successfully promote our event and cut over 70 locks of hair! These locks will be given to people who are in need of hairpieces due to medical treatments. 100% of the proceeds from our event will go to Children's Hospital Cancer Center. I know that the Locks of Love organization and Children's Hospital will be very grateful for your participation in our Cut-A-Thon! I hope you enjoyed the face paintings, manicures, lunch, and more importantly your new hairdo!

I would like to personally thank my staff for their participation because this Cut-A-Thon could not have been a success without the willingness of the Creative Hair Design staff to volunteer on their day off. But, even more than that, it could not have been a success without your participation and willingness to donate your hair. We enjoyed having you and hope to see you again SOON!
